Lika Tourist Guides Association is a newly founded association (January 2018) with the registered office in Gospić. We have simultaneously requested membership in the Croatian Tourist Guides Association. Our current number of members is 60, but we do have a tendency for expansion. There are 7 languages we cover. Most of our members, aside from the Lika-Senj County licence, have a licence for Karlovac County, as well as some others. Since the majority of our members (> 50%) is in the Plitvice Lakes district, our goals are focussed on enhancing guidance quality in the NP and the protection of tourist guides' profession. Another aim is to promote Lika as a several-day destination which will contribute to the encompassing of the entire region. We wish to create and publish a guidebook for NP Plitvice Lakes tourist guides. Finally, we intend to organise study tours for our members so as to expand knowledge and encourage fellowship.
